Donbac breaks a second jobs barrier
Doncaster's own loan fund has over the last year helped businesses in Doncaster and South Yorkshire to create or safeguard over 200 jobs in the area.
By mid 2009 Donbac had helped local businesses break the 100 jobs barrier. Donbac has continued to build on this great success story by assisting even more local businesses into 2010 and break the 200 jobs barrier!
Providing a range of unsecured and secured loan funding to these businesses, who are unable to attract funding from the high street banks, Donbac has unlocked the potential to sustain even more local employment.
Angela Allison Executive Director explained: "the commitment we made in 2009 to continue to support local businesses by stepping in to provide finance needed to sustain and create jobs has really worked."
Arthur Foreman, Donbac�s Loan Funds manager explained: "we are delighted that we have continued this trend and boost for the local economy. Being able to access finance from some mainstream banks has changed in 2010 but businesses can still find it hard to get funds when they cannot provide the security needed by the bank or they do not meet the bank lending criteria. Donbac plays a pivotal role; in helping local businesses access the working capital and funding they need for viable projects, enabling them to be competitive".
