Over £1 million investment has been made into local businesses!
More than 250 south Yorkshire businesses have accessed funding totaling over £1 million in the last year from Doncaster's own loan fund, Donbac.
In turn this has helped to lever over an additional £1/2 million funding from mainstream banks and other funding sources into these businesses.
Donbac's Loan Funds manager Arthur Foreman explains "These businesses, are drawn from a mixed variety of sectors. We have helped clients from traditional engineering and manufacturing, freight, recruitment, financial services, hospitality, retail, food and ICT industries, to name but a few.
All were unable to attract the funding they needed from the high street banks and by supporting them Donbac has unlocked the potential to sustain even more local employment in our area by supporting them".
Executive Director of Donbac Angela Allison said "It is a fantastic story to tell and really recognizes the efforts of our local businesses who are striving to be competitive in the market, with more than 200 jobs also created or safeguarded in the process".
As funding from mainstream banks continues to be problematical to obtain for some businesses, particularly if there is a lack of security available, Donbac is committed to assisting the businesses in the area who have viable projects.
